Marya Gelvosa is a graduate of New Jersey City University. Born in the Philippines and raised in Jersey City by a single mom, Marya has always been thirsty for adventure. Big city living can no longer hold her back and the rugged woods await for Marya’s tears, sweat and pure joy. After her apprenticeship at North Plain Farm and Blue Hill Farm, she migrated to Mid-coast Maine with Josh. Becoming a grass farmer will support her interests in organic food, holistic health and sustainable living.

Josh Gerritsen is the son of a Dutch physician and a Chinese-American novelist. He was born on the island of Oahu and lived there until the age of six. His parents thought it was best to move the family from paradise to another coastal town, albeit a much colder one. They landed in Camden, Maine and he spent the rest of his childhood there. After he spent 5 years in NYC doing photography and five months farming at North Plain Farm and Blue Hill Farm, he is back in Camden ready to jump into the next chapter of his life.

Marya and Josh have been a happy couple since 2008.
